The first part of The Doctor and the Street RatI didn't color because I like this one sketchy
I didn't want to mess it up.Raya and Andy, the first night they meet.
"Hello? Can I…do you need help?"
She shifted slightly at his voice, her head tilting. Then thunder clapped, and she jumped, curling around herself slightly as she held the flower to her chest. He could see her thin shoulders shaking as rain lashed her body, leaving her soaking wet. She looked small, young. Scared.
He felt his chest soften for the girl, and he gently pulled her into his clinic, out of the cold rain. He felt her flinch away from his touch and recoiled himself, unwilling to hurt her. "Come on, kiddo. Let's get you inside and cleaned up. I'm Dr. Anthony Armstrong…you're safe now, kiddo."
Raya was very afraid the first night she met Andy - it was storming, and she's terrified of thunder. And her sunflower was dead. But Andy took her in and cared for her, and promised her it would be okay. So she let go.
Raya and Andy (Raya Taller/Heartseer and Anthony Armstrong) belong to ME, NO STEALING.

Raya's stance is interesting here, there's almost an 'if I can't see him he can't see me' feel.

That kind of is how she feels. >>; Convincing herself "he's okay, this is okay, I'm okay" kind of thing but can't bear to look at his face.

And Raya looks like a beaten scarecrow.

He is very concerned. A scrawny, scruffy girl covered in scars, cuts, bruises, and dirt just showed up at his door clutching a dead sunflower. OF COURSE HE'S CONCERNED.
And at this point, she might as well be.
