Description This is a scratch build model of Orihime, from anime/manga bleach, I did in 2008. She is suppose to be doing her shield from the scene from the 2nd opening, but maybe its not a good pose since I didn't complete the shield. i haven't thought of anything good for the shield yet that would not block her face. It was one of the longest models i worked on , taking 2 years to complete, and was the 2nd sculpture i started working on.

You can see the complete WIP on my website [link]

Thanks for the suggestion! I used to have a clear sheet that I painted clear yellow for the shield but I ended up not liking it for covering her face. I do want to add something though so I'll try to pick up this stage light firm and see how it looks ^_^

Use thin Plexiglas for the shield.

Thanks for the suggestion. I never used plexiglas before. If I get a thin piece, would be easy to cut with a hobby knife, scissor? or would I need special tools. Can it be sanded?

At 1/16" you can use a hobby knife. Sand the edges with as fine of sandpaper as you can get. Start with 120 and work up. I go 120 220 and end with wet sanded 600. use a polishing wheel to finish but since you will only be doing the edges it is not necessary to polish it.

Thanks so much! Especially on the thickness, as it seems there are so many choices. I will order some later today and see how it goes ^_^

If you go to a plastic shop they often have scraps you can have.
