I'd like to use the picture above (Baba Jaga by Pythosblaze) on my website. Is that possible? I'll be happy to give you all details or whatever info you would like if it IS possible. I see that you sell prints but I haven't seen anything about licensing usage. TIAΒ if you have time to reply!

I know of this witch because I watched this CRAZY movie called Jack Frost... And Baba is in it. Hilarious c: This is way better than the movie version though.

I read a book that had a similar story in a Mexican tone. She ate children and had some sheep or cactus as minions living in that moving house. Scared me as a kid.

Sounds like a neat story! I love international folklore.

I love this, it's so full of character! (Not that I'm biased, loving folk tales and Baba Yaga) I'm especially fond of the feet, they're dainty yet strong-looking.

some kinda viktorian version?

That's not the version I've heard. I've heard that she flies around in a butter churn, a cauldron, or a mortar and pestle, using th4 pestle to steer.

Arrrghhh my god. This is incredible! I'm not usually a fan of anything robiticky but thiiisssss is SUMMIT ELSE. Love the claws on those feet and the billowing smoke. My minds full of scenes inside that crack-pot cottage haha

this is probably my favourite peice of yours. You've given it so much depth and style, the tones are wonderful and I love the slight linework on the shading of the second leg, the anatomy and the little details like that arch thing on the side, designed for wall creeping plants.
I'd love to see what you can do with it by finishing it, but, honestly, I love it the way it is now xD

So what would the witch ride as a steam punk cauldron?

Pythosart In reply to unusable [2012-05-14 10:17:52 +0000 UTC]
A regular cauldron with some gears glued on. Or maybe a furnace or something.
