I like it! It's not as high-definition as the one I used to like most, but this one is more correct in terms of geography, elephants, & celestial bodies.
Which elephant do you think is which, by the way? Mr Pratchett only ever named the elephants in The Colour of Magic, & it was never specified which elephant had which name.

Terry Pratchettes disc world
World is flat and going around on the backs of five dancing elephants who fly across the Galaxy by turtle. I don't remember how were the moon and the sun attached to it, but i think it was clockwork mechanism?
Anyway. Terry is genius and this picture is great

Four elephants, actually, though there is a Discworld book called "The Fifth Elephant". And no clockwork as far as I know

Yesss, I LOVE everything he's written <3. Thank you!

Amazing. That is probably the best picture of the discworld I've ever seen. Wait, it's the only picture of the Discworld I've ever seen. Which makes it better than the pictures in my head.

Really? It's the only one? In that case you should seriously consider buying the Art of Discworld, illustrated by Paul Kidby. It's very good

I had the book (hogfather) but it kinda got lost (like I have no idea what happened to it )

XD Apparently a lot of people get confused by Discworld books... I can't imagine why, but then I've been reading them since 6th grade.

Pythosart In reply to PokeCatGirl [2010-12-11 14:17:19 +0000 UTC]

D: Well, I go to the library every day because my bus stops there. Then I check out a pile of books and regret doing so on the two-mile walk home.

Word for the wise: Do NOT read and walk at the same time.

Yaay! I love Disc World and Terry Pratchett!
is the thing in the middle the Wizard's Tower? or is it a cloud?
I liked the witches series the best, but Death is the funniest character.
They've actually made some good movies based on some Disc World novels- I've seen the Hogfather and the one with Twoflower so far.

Awesome!

It's Cori Celesti, the home of the gods. It's a needle-like mountain at the Discworld's Hub, in the middle of the Ramtops.

I've seen them C: And read all 54 books.

My father introduced me to them, through audiotapes for long car trips. I sadly don't own paper copies of most of them.
Its also getting impossible to find anything in my house because there's construction going on.

I don't actually own any Discworld books apart form the Tiffany Aching trilogy and The Art of Discworld. I also hae Good Omens, but that's not Discworld. I suggest going to the library. That's where most of my reading comes from. It's very rare for me to buy a book.

Yes!

Aw. They might still have some. A lot of time if a library doesn't have something, they can borrow it from another library.
