Spring

I'm working on a series of bookmarks to be sold with my hair ornaments at Anime North. Originally I was planning to make one bookmark for each month of the year, unfortunately I know that I don't have the time to finish that many. So, I'm making one for each of the four seasons.

This one here is Spring and it features a junior maiko dancing with a parasol. Her outfit mostly features sakura (an early spring motif), but there's also a touch of wysteria (a late spring motif) to give the outfit the full spring range. Originally I was gonna have some daffodils on her kimono as well, but the design worked better without them.
