It's a shame that more of the Vampire Hunter D novels haven't been made into movies, but Bloodlust was so well done and has such a perfect ending perhaps that's good enough.

This pairing IMO makes more sense than the canon pairing of Chouji/Karui. Like I have not ever heard of any backgound to how these two met and how they fell in love with each other.

For example I love Temari and Shikamaru. They're always together in the original story.
