Description This fledgling house Sparrow landed on the trellis this morning,Mum was two gaps up and so it was fretting a bit,we have a large community of these fiesty little birds in the ivy in our garden.

These guys are in decline in the UK for various reasons,one of which ,i believe,is the tidying of gardens by the over-use of decking and gravel...no habitata for bugs so less garden birds...Alan Tichmarsh and crew have a great-deal to answer for .

We did get a single little female here a couple months ago, but she didn't stay, hope she didn't die, and just moved on
