The other half of the pair of busy Blackbirds that have nested in our backgarden,the kids have fledged so she can take a bit of a rest before the next clutch.This was taken this morning as i was having a cuppa by the pond

i am kinda jealous you have a pond..we have a ditch across the road that fills up with scum..does that count at all? the earthly colours of the bird an the fence are just perfectly matched.

Amazing clarity, my friend. You really did capture the texture of the bird's chest feathers well and the colour in the golden sun light. It must of been a quite an enjoyable cuppa while watching this little fellow ponder about.

Thank you ,it was a wonderful way to start the day,with the Blackbird,Sparrows,Collered Doves and Pigeons...and thats only the ones that nest in the garden,the bees butterflies and a Micro-light

Yeah! Sounds lovely. Though sadly yesterday I came across a cat attacking some baby blackbirds :/ It managed to kill 2 of the babies, but I rescued 1 of the 3. The mother showed me where the nest was and I gave it back to her and scared the cat away. Damn nature..
