Its a female and she does seem to have quite unusual mottling on the breast,almost like a thrush...maybe dad played away ..
What do yours look like Brian?..

It's not so much in the colouring ,more in the body shape

Ours are longer and sleeker looking,in the same way as our Robins are
Very different for both species

It was rather plumped-up due to the cold,they are normally not as round as that mate..[link] its interesting how different basic scecies are ..
