I love when I find old artists' works. It's very inspiring to see how much they improved, and hoping someone could improve just as much.
And by the way, your style was already awesome!

Oh, god. I can't look at this part of my gallery anymore without cringing ...

ouch.....thats kinda sad though....are you not thrilled that your art work has evolved??? you should at least feel like you have gone over a huge hurdle...pluce, this simply looks like a more grafiti ish style to your current art. plus, you have always been great. if anyone should cringe at their gallery, it should be some one who doesnt experiment on shit or takes a risk outside their comfort zones.

i mean, if you think your old gallery is bad, have you SEEN mine??? if your art was like THAT, then i would understand you cringing.

your an awesome artist through the ages, that is an accomplishent you should be PROUD of. i definely would be....

I leave these old pictures here intentionally, so that people can see that an artist's skill is and should be constantly evolving. A lot of people seem to think I pop these drawings out on a whim, but this is so that they can see my process of development, really. I can't stand looking at them because I spot so many mistakes I wouldn't make now.

and yes, i understand that. believe me, i feel ya. i am just saying that you should still have love for this art, simply because it came from you.....i mean, looking @ your back catalog reminds me of all the drawing s i can never post on here to show how far i have come....and sadly they will never be able to be redone....

but anyway, you should be proud. i know you dont just do your art, you always have either a plan or a story, and you simply work on how to turn you plan/story into a physical art piece. i know i am not that great an artist, but i can tell that you are, and always were.

Art has its serious side, then has its commedic side.....it is all how you see it, but you are one of those folk who truely makes their mind wander into their piece....and you simply dont see that in artists these days...

you put work into a lot of your old pieces, and that is truth. you work even harder on newer pieces, and that is truth. you are an awesome artist, and you simply evolved. there is no shame in what you have.....and girl, you have it...

Haha! I used to wear it faithfully, but it cracked against something, the bathroom sink, I think. Sad, it was made of some sort of metal that didn't make me suffer my usual allergic reaction.

I wear mine faithfully. But it was a cheap thing. And I'm sorry it broke. Never like it when that happens.

He's a little more direct, though.
He'd be like: "Oh, eating chocolate again? No wonder you got a little fat over the last few weeks."
Me: O.o wtf?

whiteliton In reply to quartervirus-archive [2010-12-07 08:10:57 +0000 UTC]

Yes, well. If you ask me he's a little tooooo much into healthy food (normally he eats a bit of fruit around noon (that's his breakfast) and then dinner in the evening, and that's only low-fat food)
But if our parents weren't like that you couldn't draw comic strips about it, right? And despite being annoying it's sometimes funny. (at least I think so )

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

quartervirus-archive In reply to whiteliton [2010-12-07 08:21:53 +0000 UTC]

Of course. I have this tendency to go through life as if I'm in a comic and look for every opportunity to find gags I can draw. Most of my ideas have never been put to paper I have so many of them, and some just aren't as funny as others.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

whiteliton In reply to quartervirus-archive [2010-12-07 08:43:15 +0000 UTC]

I assure you I understand this. I don't draw too well (especially not comics or comic style, I think it's hard!), but I have this feeling quite frequently. It is one of the reasons why I sometimes stand on the streets alone, grinning stupidly while looking at nothing particular. Or even starting to laugh when I think of something funny. I've stopped feeling embarassed for that quite some time ago.

quartervirus-archive In reply to whiteliton [2010-12-07 11:27:14 +0000 UTC]

I can definitely relate to that. The last three days I've even worn that silly Santa hat I had in my Vlog every time I leave the house. And I mean every time.

Hehe. I need one of those for Christmas. Right now I'm working part-time as a cashier at a supermarket (need to earn some money for travelling) and I'm SO going to wear a Santa hat on my shift on 24th December.

quartervirus-archive In reply to whiteliton [2010-12-08 09:24:03 +0000 UTC]

The people working the cashiers over here all wear Santa hats!

whiteliton In reply to quartervirus-archive [2010-12-08 09:34:12 +0000 UTC]

O.o Really? Wow. You just shattered my thought of having a revolutionary idea. Perhaps all this Christmas-time-go-decorate-everything-and-be-merry-mood hasn't really arrived in Germany yet.
So, my idea wasn't original, but I'll do it anyway, since I haven't seen cashiers in Germany wear Santa hats. is this one of the things the prejudice of stressed, grumpy and sometimes rude Germans comes from? It's time for a revolution! xD
