I've been playing SWTOR for two years and have no desire to quit yet; I am more comfortable with SW lore and feel like it can easily be construed as "my game" since I don't feel out of place there, as I did when playing many other MMOs. WoW is "good for visit", but I wouldn't want to live there, hypothetically speaking. The horror stories I've heard and seen about the community don't do much for my opinion of the game, which is a shame, since I love the colour palettes, art direction, and character design.

To be honest, I got to agree; WoW's community is mostly horrendous. So many terrible people, seemingly going out of their way to ruin your raiding (or dungeon, or pvp) experience. You are not allowed room to grow; if you aren't at top gear, top dps at all times, you WILL be judged (even if it's clear you've just rejoined the game after the last expansion). I think the only worse communities are DOTA and LoL. Still though, it's my MMORPG of choice; I'm too attached to it's colorful style, characters and lore, as well as some of the races like Draenei, Orcs and Night Elves. I don't enjoy Sci-Fi themes in MMORPGs, which is why I've been staying away from SWTOR. Perhaps that will change once Wildstar finally comes out.

I rarely see sci fi in MMOs outside of games like EVE online, which really aren't my bag. Honestly I didn't expect to like it, since prior to TOR I only ever played fantasy-based MMOs; if they had aspects of science fiction, it was subtle: Ryzom, Everquest II, Age of Conan, Aion, even Perfect World at one time. But SWTOR appeals to the ten-year-old in me, who always dreamed of getting to run around with the heroes of the classic SW movies, riding tauntauns around Hoth and having "my own" Twi'lek. The people I RP with are also fantastic, either at writing or coming up with stories I like to join in, or both.
Ironically, all of them previously played--and RPed in--WoW, but all left because of said community. At the moment I have WoW on my PC, but am only hopping in and out when I'm tired of repeating the beginning planets in TOR. I don't plan on releasing my server or character name, to avoid too much attention.

Great job on the piece; I've been hoping for ages you'd do a WoW piece. I LOVE trolls (erm, Blizzard ones), and agree about the male Draenei. Love the facial expressions, and the colors in this are fantastic!

I've done one or two WoW pics in the past, but they were mostly commissions. Honestly I wish I got WoW commissions more often, the stylization of the game is a hella' fun to play around with.
