Oh man it is great to see this in color. I really like April's color and how you did her sword. I think this is likely to be the weapon she gets.

I would like to see her wield one on the show for real, but so far it seems like her official weapon is the meant to be the Bo'.
But she trains with a wooden sword in the show, that actually comes in her toy set too; so does a Shinai, a bamboo sword used in practice to represent a Japanese sword. So it's not unrealistic that she would learn to use one.

Where have you heard her official weapon is the meant to be the Bo? I have heard nothing like that.

The reason why i think she will get a sword is because like you said we saw trains with a wooden sword in the show and the 2007 movie April had one.

Well when I asked about it on tumblr someone told me that was what was on her toy version. I don't have the toy, and I can't find the original post but here is a good view of the toy and the accessories she comes with [link]

Oh. I thought you meant some thing else. I all ready saw the toy. I'm about 100% they just pick out weapons they thought will be good. Nothing that will likley be what she gets.

That said I would love for her to get a pair of Tonfa. There the only weapons that the turtles dont have. Plus I think they will be really good for her.

Actually, I plan to draw her with tonfa in her picture with Mikey. But I'm like juggling 10 different WIP that I need to finish before I even get started on that
But that's why i like fan art, its good practice,I've gotten so much better since I've become a turtle fan
