that CMYK process seems like a huge pain in the ass. . . I only had to use photo-plates twice when I was at school and that was two times too many they were such a headache :s

It really, really is.
I can see the appeal of using photo plates if that's the effect you're going for, but the exposure unit at my studio is so temperamental that it's really just not worth the grief.

I know the pain of CMYK. It's bad enough in silkscreen, but I can't even imagine doing it as a litho. Turned out great!

CMYK makes me want to tear my hair out, haha. Thank you!

This is great! And it's nice that you gave a description of the process; I'm always intrigued by printing processes.

Thanks!
I love experimenting with different printing processes...but some are definitely more rewarding than others. This was one of the "pull your hair out" variety.

And don't worry about all the mumbo-jumbo...I just like to put lots of stuff into my prints.

Thank you so much!
The CMYK color separation was a challenge, but I like how it turned out.

Excelent atmosphere. It reminds me of Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman".
Congrats!

Traditional litho in general is such a long and tiring process >___< I've never done a photolitho separation yet though.

It is, but the end result is so worth it, I think.
I don't know that I'd do a photolitho separation again, but incorporating photolitho elements into a print seems like it'd be a lot of fun.

Another great print! Photo-manipulation isn't really my thing, but I can certainly see how skillfully done this is. So well done and congratulations. ^_^
It's certainly an interesting new look to your charcter, yet still equally valid. I always find it interesting to see a character I already know in a new light. This is especially true of characters like the night-bringer, who let's face it, probably finds her appearance somewhat varied by how she manifests, and how she's percieved, anyway.
