Oh wow this is the best new PokΓ©mon ever, I mean look at it, a murderous floating flytrap. I'm going to train soooo many of these. Holy crap. I don't care if it ends up having the worst stats and moves in history, one of these is going on my team.Related content

The first time I saw it my brain almost went through a meltdown because i wasn't expecting it at all.

Well, every time they've added an evo or pre-evo to old pokΓ©mon, they've made you have to get it in a way that didn't exist in the previous games (I guess to explain why it wasn't in the old games.) Like, there was no Sun Stone in RBY, but there was in GSC, so that's why Gloom could evolve into Belossom. And for PokΓ©mon that evolve by trading, new items were added. Like, you can trade Onix all you want in the old games, but it'll only evolve if you trade it with Metal Coat, which of course could only happen in GSC and on. Even for new baby PokΓ©mon like Azurill and Wynaut, since you could already breed Marills and Wobbuffets in GSC, to get the baby forms in RSE the parents have to hold a new item that wasn't in the old games.
So, if it is an evolution of Weepinbell, it won't be a Sun Stone one, unless like Weepinbell has to be holding a new item and THEN you use the stone. Or like you equip it with a new item and trade it and then it evolves, or something.

thats the logic i used...with masukippa being just grass but weepinbell (like gloom) being both poison and grass
...i still think regardless of how that there's a goog chance that it evolves from weepinbell.

Haha, well, Belossom doesn't look much like the rest of the Oddish line either, plus it's actually smaller than Gloom! Plus they do seem to be going crazy with the evos and pre-evos of old PokΓ©mon this generation XP

I don't think it's an alternate evolution. I think it is a stand-alone Pokemon. It's just a carnivorous plant like Weepinbell and Victreebel. I was hoping they'd make a flytrap Pokemon eventually.
But now that you mention it, I wouldn't put it past them to make it an alternate evolution.

Yeah, I'm using Illustrator for all my lineart now XD Still can't color in there worth a crap though, I need to practice that since all of the official Telefang art is completely vectorized and I'd like to be able to mimic that style better.

Yeah, the only one from this batch I really like is Masukippa... the dinosaurs are alright, I really like that they've got a Pachycephalosaurus, hopefully the triceratops (who I am calling Tatertops) will evolve into something awesome. The electric Kimba thing looks like some bizarre... raver lion?! Bippa is rather boring but sounds like it gets a hax ability, the baby Roselia is dull, baby Chansey is bleh (using softboiled means your pokΓ©mon is eating that thing!!) I don't like the stupid beetle because it looks like Volbeat and Illumiese and I hate those two, the starling is okay but not very interesting.

When I saw the Starters, the legendaries (the time and space pokemon), and some of the earlier ones (munchlax, mr. mime jr, etc), I was full of hope! then I saw these and were hurt...
and I know where you are coming from, I am likin the Dinosaurs (like the other ancient pokemon such as Kabutops will evolve into sumthin awesome) but I thought that one baby chancey was appropriate for a pokemon like chancey and blissey (plus its a baby, no one really battles with those lol and nice comment!) .. Subomi, another baby/pre-evolution blah.. .. Like I said, I was mostly dissappointed but still holding out for hope that these are the pokemon no one cares about later on when they show the rest, which will be great
