Zangoose is supposed to be the "Cat Ferret" PokΓ©mon, but it looks more like a cross between an angry cat and a bear... or anteater I guess in this case o_O? Trying to shade plain white fur was boring though, so I tried out an idea I had to give him some texture and I think it worked pretty well ^_^" The background is crap though, it's supposed to be the mountain-y part of Route 114 but I suck at backgrounds T_TRelated content

I have to say it: the pose reminds me of the scene in the lion king where Scar's walking along the cliff edges, watching Mufasa getting trampled

Zangoose is based of a Mongoose, that's why it hates Seviper so much. But really good! The background isn't too bad, and I love how you solved the claw problem.

Mongoose don't hate "snakes" their diet consists of cobras 1. 2 Zangoose's name is based off a mongoose, zangoose is more or less based off the mythology between cats and snakes.Β

I love the fact that it walks on its claws like an anteater. ...This thing looks like the fluffy white persian cat from hell. It looks just as malevolent and warlike as the original zangoose. And it'd make sense for it to climb mountains, as it's found in the area under a cliff.
I wonder if he'd like to eat the altaria I just commented on.

"If pokemon were real" I ask myself that question every day... Then I saw this pic. This is how zangoose would look if he were real! ^^ you drew it so lifelike! and the tail...so fluffy! Zangoose is my fav. pokemon! Fav!!!

Hang on, "Cat-ferret" that makes me think it's supposed to be a mongoose. I suppose that's fairly obvious, the "ZanGOOSE" name, the fact that it hates a snake. But strangely, cat-ferret is about as close to a hybrid word for mongoose as you could get, I suppose. Y'see, mongooses look a little like a ferret etc, but are Feliforms meaning the're related to cats and hyenas. Does Japanese have a word for mongoose? Maybe the description comes from translation problems?

I think zangoose looks a bit like a woverine... which is related to ferrets... It definately looks -very- wolverine-ish in this piccy. ^_^ Which is cool... I like anything based off of things related to ferrets! XD Especially if they have biiiig claws! (I love claws... I dunno why, but I do. The bigger the better. Things with big claws are awesomeness. *nod nod*)

I knows! and it took even longer to make half of them to evolve! it took a whole day and a half, and when i was finished i realeased all the ones that weren't strong enough. WHat i was doing was getting them to learn good moves and make each generation stronger, and the average for every girl mudkip out of 30 was 5, i only got 5 female mudkips out of those 32
