In the third "panel" Itachi is holding the same paper as in the anime before the massacre. It's a reference to that scene.
Certainly not the doujin I was talking about but oh well! I took a lot of liberties with this format. It's something that's been bothering me since forever so there. Peace.
Big ass file. Color management plz if your monitor makes it look reaaaally dark... it's my fault for not calibrating Photoshop. Argh. I'll fix it later.
So I fixed it but I still hope you guys could see it on my monitor. WHWYWHWYWHWYWHWYWHWYWHY. I love you all<3

I can't read this and see this without getting tears in my eyes. You can really feel Itachi's pain. i wish I could do something, but I realoize everyone would want that. Looking at this, you feel so hopeless, so sad.

Mmm... well, for me, this is the visual representation of the inner turmoil Itachi experienced in order to eliminate all feelings of attachment he had with his family but no matter how hard he wanted it to all go away, he never managed to forget his love for Sasuke and that tormented him even in his darkest hours but somehow managed to keep him going. He kneels and covers his ears to stop hearing his brother's voice that keeps reminding him that he is human and not just a tool; the constant reminder that he will never get what he wants because he is cursed by his lineage and the need to give Sauce something, anything, besides hatred.
If I had a chance to continue this drawing (which I won't because it will somehow ruin it), I would transition the black gradient back to white while shaping the panel where he finally tells Sasuke he loves him. For me that moment was the only one where we see him do what he really wants to, not pressured by anyone. Just Itachi saying to his brother he loves him while being at peace with himself.
I consider that moment very, very powerful for everything it means for both characters and their story.
HHNGGG, I just can't really explain what I was aiming at with words. I am not eloquent enough to explain my train of thought but... yes, something along those lines.

You explained it well enough.. with words and with the drawing..
You are right in not continuing the drawing although what you have proposed is a good idea and the edo tensei scene is undoubtedly the most beautiful moment in the siblings life... I feel that this drawing is complete in itself and more impactful this way.
Like one of the comments above, I cannot help but comment on every work of yours.... I am so hopelessly in love with Itachi and it simple pains me that I cannot dedicate a tribute to him like you and many others have.Β

Itachis story is so sad, nobody should live the life he lived. He become what he become for his brother, he really is the best brother ever! I love the darkness in the end, because it feels like Itachi is falling down in the darkness of is thoughts

This is absolutely by far my most favorite art work of Itachi. Honestly as soon as I saw it, it caught my attention. Watching the whole thing up close was a diffrent story all together. It made me feel is anguish and pain honestly the expression on his face the wording how they fade into the background and the body language makes it all the more powerful to the view honestly great work its truly AMAZING. !!!
