Uh-huh... right. So we're suppose to look the other way, amidst two hotties getting down and dirty, huh? Riiiight...
(grabs a seat and starts watching)
Tee hee... my first ever 'adult' oriented piece 'officially' posted online. Gosh, you can't imagine how much I'm blushing right now. And yet, I'm loving the results and figured someone would dig it too so... ta-da I guess?
Lately I've been in the mood for adult-related work. It's not so much as the content, but the fact I have an excuse to work on my anatomy. So many times I feel disappointed after sketching out the muscles and bones, only to cover 'em up through clothes.
So definitely, content like this gives me a chance to draw the human figure. And what the hell, it gives me a chance to convey sensuality just through expression and gestures.Okay, so, for those wondering who the hell these guys are. The left guy is Devil May Cry's Dante. The right guy is my original character, Seth. This scene is inspired by my Devil May Cry fanfic.
EDIT: I just lifted up the 'Mature Content' thingy. I've seen other ppl posting work where two guys are embracing with each other and they didn't put it under this category. Other than yaoi, I don't find it too offensive either.
Still, you guys are the judgers so tell me, is the lift justifiable?

Hah, sorry for not replying back for awhile. School work was HELL. O_O Anyway, to come back to this, definitely. I'm currently making more girl Seth pics. And ha! Your art a beautiful. No problem. That's aweomse. You ever gonna color it? I used to drew whales, dolphins and porpoises (cetaceans) on the school bus on the way to school when I was 8 years old. So I know what it's like to draw while on a bus.

@_@ You are so damn talented! I adore this. You did an amazing job. You're totally right about how anime-style art lets you fudge around with things like proportions, whereas depicting naturalistic figures is more challenging. It looks a lot better too, IMO.

I don't think you need a mature warning on this at all. You're not showing anything explicit or "obscene." Dante's facial expression is great, of course, but it's pretty subtle. And the fact that it's two men shouldn't make any kind of difference in its rating. If someone looks at it and says, "OMG my eyezzz! AAAGH WTF 2 dudes togethar is leik sooooo WRONG!" then that's their problem.

Yeah, anime is great and all and some of it hints at porportions (the anime done in graphic style springs to mind). Rarely, though, do you find muscular anatomy at play, especially if its the type of anime that has huge bug eyes and long-ass legs. One artist I critique had the crotch level very low. But again, these artists can get away with it since it's anime-style. Tell them to do it in graphic and they'll be like... O_o

Just out of curiosity, do you think you might ever make a colored version? Don't get me wrong, the b&w is gorgeous, and I don't think it should be in color. The b&w is elegant and is more abstract, in a sense; adding color isn't necessary, but it could be fun just to see what it would look like.

Well, the thing about putting down the mature content thing here is... there's not much really going on here. Whereas Demonic Fun needs some serious censoring (which I'll get to asap, lol) only expressions say it all here and there aren't any exposed privates (not even an arse, lol).
I think what propelled me to lift the rating was, I saw several pics here on DA that displayed male-on-male guys. One even had a guy licking the other and that was on the artist's main pic feature. Here, the guys are just embracing each other. Seth is set to kiss Dante but he hasn't, and Dante's just pulling him close. It's a sexually tensed moment.
I originally went with a mature rating because of the simple fact it was guy-on-guy. But then I thought... hey, homosexuality shouldn't automatically qualify for a mature content rating. Or does it here on DA? Gosh, I've heard so many stories about this site going bonkers over subjects that have no right to be censored and punishing artists for harmless acts. I may just close this account and find another site where artists don't have Big Brother watching.
