Description I found some wire and started playing with it while waiting for paint to dry. Except for four small bits of wire I used to hold it together at the bases of the neck and tail, the whole thing is one continuous piece of wire. Download the animation for magical gyrating action! (Ultra thanks to ~ vraven for helping me with the animation! @o@) Views of different angles can be found here.

I know this is old, but I don't want to fav-and-run. I'm not really familiar with wire sculpture, so what I'm about to say may be akin to saying, "The cool think about your painting is that it's in color," but I like how you've done so much with so little. It almost seems alive (maybe that's partly the animation?) but if you look closely, you can see that the individual shapes that make it up are actually pretty simple.

Very very nice. I'm impressed with the level of control and detail. I've played around with wire myself and it's quite a difficult medium to draw/sculpt with.

You know, if you can somehow update this without making it show up on the watches again... that'd be cool. It's a minor thing, you know—you know how on the first frame the top is a few pixels lower? That jump really annoys me, and even though I noticed it the day after you posted this I haven't said anything. Do you want to fix it sometime one of these weeks? And by you, I mean us, and by us, I mean "would you like me to send you a copy without the annoyingly imperfect imperfection?"

^^ Hahaha, if you want! I would have tried to do it myself, but since I don't really know what I'm doing in animating programs (as I'm sure you're aware) I could only imagine it taking me an unnecessarily large amount of time and energy. So if you have nothing better to do some day, awesome, I would love it if you that for me! Thank you!

very nice. the outline is very well done for a wire sculpture - you should definitely have a go at other 3d media (such as plaster/clay etc). I'd also be interested to see the result. Damn but I'm dizzy now!
