The never ending war between making sure you've got a strong comp and storytelling flow and not feeling like you're tracing.

I picked up this great book 'Artists on Comic Art' or something similar to that name lol In it they talk ed to a bunch of different artists about their process.
Jeff Campbell does layouts at half-size and then lightboxes them up.
Joe Quesada did his at comic page size before switching to digital.
Jim Lee and JR JR both just worked straight on the artboard. No thumbnails or anything. Insane.
Bryan Hitch would draw up all his panels on a separate sheet of paper and then lightbox them up one at a time. Frank miller worked full-size as well.
It was amazing to me that some of the best pure storytellers could just attack it at that large of a size and be so good.
Totally jealous.

Thanks to carelessness on my part some little ones got their hands on my zuda packet stuff and pretty much destroyed them.
My scanner died a couple weeks ago so I didn't even have any digital backups of them.

I think two of them will be salvageable by lightbox, but the rest are just done.
I blame myself for having so many pages out and not safely in a drawer.
On a positive not my new 11x17 all-in-one is supposed to arrive today.
