Description
Been a while since I did some Luna so I decided to throw this one together, was originally a much larger image but I decided to crop for various reasons.Yes Blue and orange!!! It's about time i used these colours together again!
Hope you guys like it!

To start off, I absolutely loved the background. The little lamps cast lovely lighting and the clouds are marvelous, as is her mane. You can't really see Luna's tail, but I can tell from the little pieces I can see that it is joining her mane in the "whirlwind" around the moon. I would probably make it a bit more obvious, but it is also fine how it is. The forelock, however, is much too small, and her head's shape is off. You can't see the right ear or her eyelids either. Combined with her too large chest and neck, it makes her body seem very... odd. Not in a good way. Her right wing is also much less tidy than, and rather different from her left. It isn't quite as glaring, but it is a bit of a bother. And the last thing I noticed was that the moon seemed very fake. Flat. It's just there, like a piece of paper hanging in the sky. I get that it's a light source, but it is still round, still has some shadows.
As I said before, though, wonderful job with the background. I really enjoyed the clouds and the little lamps. Good job in general on this piece, as is so frequent among your works. Keep it up!

I'm a little confused about your light source here. There's obviously the moon, but you've got all the lanterns as well, and I feel that the shading on Luna doesn't really take everything into account, but It doesn't really affect the image I think, so that's a minor gripe. Beyond that, her proportions seem a little off. Her torso looks a bit short, and her front legs look longer than her back legs. The blending of Luna's mane and tail into the rest of the night sky could likely have been done a little smoother, but it's still a nice effect, and the coloring is beautiful. Your background adds a nice bit of ambiance, and overall this is a wonderful work of art.

I'm going try and put my fan boy love Luna aside, but this is a beautiful image. I've watched you live stream your work in the past and I wished I had been able to watch this one come into creation. You have a very good grasp when it comes to environmental lighting with the lanterns floating about and especially from the below the clouds, maybe coming from a city having a grand celebration. As with your other works the clouds gives a great sense of depth.
The only bit that would keep me from give you a perfect score on this image in Luna looks a little cross eyed. But that may be a small nit pick. Still far beyond anything I could ever d. Great job!

Very nice style in this image, good shaping and positioning. The lighting seems a bit off, as in the shading doesn't seem all to correctly placed according to the lanterns.
I get a good 'Peace inside a storm' type feel from this and feel it is a good representation of finding a comfortable space amongst chaos and discomfort. The lanterns being the good in the bad and the clear path to the mood being a message to be true to who you are.
other than the off lightning, this is a wonderful painting and I look forward to seeing more.

Lovely detail and very striking. The (as some may have observed) slightly cross-eyed expression conveys a sense of bemused wonder, in The-Necromancer's opinion.

The colours are fantastic, the level of detail amazing, Luna's flowing mane is a thing of beauty, It catches my eye everytime, and lets not forget about those lanterns, they really bring life to an already magnificent night sky.

The composition with the noctural theme with the moon, the sky night, the lanterns, Luna's flowing mane with stars... Luna herself with very sweet smile on her face (smiling Luna is best Luna) and how you draw wings...

I agree: "blorange" is such a great combination of colours
Anyhow, it took me a while to realise that this was, in fact, your piece. It somewhat lacks the crazy use of colour I'm used to seeing in your work.
Obviously that's not a bad thing, on the contrary. Too many additional colours might have broken the piece entirely.

Very beautiful picture! Her long mane is just wonderful! I also love her simile. The lights giveΒ the picture a warm touch, and I think it's the air current that you put on the wings and the horn, this also fits in the picture well.

The Princess of the Night is downright enchanting as she barrel rolls her way through the sky, washing out the last bits of daylight with her starry, cosmic presence. Her mane/wake frames the moon wonderfully, and all of the magical box lanterns add some mystery and a lot of soft, lovely contrast to the already wondrous scene.

I love the background and scenery.Β The issue I have when viewing this picture is that Luna looks very static to me even though I believe she is meant to be in motion based on the contrail coming off of her wing.
