Description Since I have been resketching and compiling a new version my old justice league piece, I noticed some extra space that needed filling... So there are going to be a few additions.

Beast Boy!

Ok so I want to start out by saying that designing a costume for Beast Boy was always going to be a troublesome task. This is more about designing a human form look for him that was both  recognizable and new.  First of all... how do you design a costume for a shape shifter who's clothing does not shift with them? I mean, you could always come up with a reason for their clothes to change size or stretch to fit... but who wants to see a hawk in pants?

So option 2 was simple... his clothes don't shift. He discards them and then later on has to find them and put them back on.... which meant loose fitting and simple. A pair of shorts and a short sleeve hoodie. Why then does the hoodie have shoulder pads and why do they look like the ones from The Flash? Well... same reason that the flash wears them honestly.

People tend to forget that even when not in animal form, Beast Boy IS a skilled fighter and somewhat formidable combatant. He doesn't always have to change it up... He is pretty beastly even in humanoid mode... But even in that form he does have some animal instincts. One of those is the tendency to lean in and charge. If you could change from a bull, to a rhino, to a silverback Gorilla, you would feel comfortable throwing you weight around. You would get pretty bold I think, so I gave him something to hit with. Hence the shoulder pads, which were a gift from Wally. So yes they in fact ARE spare "Flash" shoulder pads.

Next up was the color scheme... in the past the costumes that he has worn have varied in degrees of reds, whites and purples... So I threw them all in by choice.  His skin has also varied from Green to Red and back again... so I combined the two with a green base and a red striping pattern that makes him a little more beast and a little less Boy.

The backstory for Garfield is varied and convoluted, but I didn't want to get too far into that. Suffice it to say, I chose to give his humanoid form more animal aspects than he is usually depicted with. His personality really should have a chance to shine. He worked very hard to overcome his past and now he gets to be a sort of goofy guy, but his playful side can sometimes make him seem a little off kilter...

I gave him the tail because he IS playful. But I gave him the fangs and claws because he is also wild. The mutton chops were a choice that seemed to convey something in between both feline and primate, which was important to me and I feel worked out nicely. Also it ages him up just enough that he is now presented as a Leaguer rather than a Teen Titan.

The pun of  the "Logan hair" and "Garfield" stripes is not lost on me, but that was not intentional if I'm telling the truth, just sort of a happy accident

You may have noticed that most of the former Titans have found their way into my version fo the League. I wanted it that way for a reason. At this point in the characters histories, I still want them to be around the same age as Nightwing. Why should Dick and Wally get to be the only ones who grow up? It's time, and I made that choice with purpose.
