It's that time again! Welcome to Inktober year...

Five?! Have I really been doing these for that long? xD

In any case: I thought it was time to change it up a bit this year. I always like for my Inktobers to follow a theme, rather than just being completely random: for my previous years, I've generally focused on a specific series or other set of characters. On that count, this year is going to be no different, except for one thing:

This year, the series I'm choosing to focus on, rather than an existing fandom, is one of my own story projects!

I've been wanting to focus more on my original works lately, anyway, so it made perfect sense to me to tie in with that: and when I looked through the prompts for this year - which I'm returning to after a year off from last time - I realised just how many of them I could easily make work for the characters of a specific project of mine. (There are a few in the middle of the month that I'm a little more stuck on: but I'll cross that bridge when I come to it!)

And so: welcome to Inktober 2023: Landon & Amber Edition!

Day one and I had to, of course, start by focusing on the most main character, Landon. Here, he dreams of what he wishes for most: for someone to adopt him, without being deterred by the fact that he really isn't quite your typical puppy in terms of the sort of things that interest him. While Amber and Cinnamon, as his best friends within their little group, cheer for him from the background.

The adopter is mostly in silhouette here just because Landon really has no idea what he expects her to look like: as long as she (or he, or they) accepts him as he is, he'd be happy with just about anyone.

Landon, Amber and Cinnamon are my own characters; any similarity to other people, real or fictional, is completely unintentional and coincidental.
