Description

August, being a confident and shameless street dog, is not particularly welcome around the city's outdoor market: especially not since one of her tricks for getting by is to help herself to the best of the vendors' wares when they look away for even a moment. As such, she has become equally adept at dodging capture or retaliation from those who she's just stolen from.

I'm thinking this picture in particular takes place right after Landon and Amber arrive in the city. August, taking them under her wing since they clearly can't look after themselves, makes a point of showing off as she retrieves a meal for the two hungry travellers. Not pictured but probably just offscreen: Amber, who has likewise been a stray all her life but comes from a small town where she mostly relied on the kindness of the locals to get by, is quite awed by August's skill.

...I think I screwed up the background perspective for this one a bit, it's still something I have trouble figuring out xD
