Rattman's drawings made all the chambers a lot more comfortable for me. I didn't feel as lonely and endangered through the first game - it was nice to have an unvisible companion who wanted you to escape.
After listening to Exile Vilify and reading the Lab Rat I felt that this picture should be done.....

I wish Rattman would have a game of his own, that would be so cool!! TAT

Hope Rattman'll have a role in Portal 3, since even in the comic, he did make it to a stasis pod, so probably he made it. Probably. It would be kinda fucked up for Chell to be dragged back a 3rd time, to it'll be either the robots from the coop-mode or another poor punk-ass, who got into the paws of GLaDOS.

I think it would be cool for Portal 3 (if there will be one) to focus on what happens to him and the aperture facility after Chell has left. This is a nice drawing, I like the transparency of Rattman, similar to his unseen but felt role in the games themselves.

This is wonderful! I really loved reading the Rattman comic Valve put out, and I completely agree with out about how they should make a Rattman spin-off game.

Ungh, I LOVE the way you did Chell and Doug in this. Chell looks so much like in the game, and I absolutley adore Doug's face. It perfectly expresses his emotion. UUUUUUUUNGH SO BEAUTIFUL. Keep it up!

This picture reminds me of "The Ghost of Rattman" song. In it, he sounds like he desperately needs human contact, but is simply too sick and scared to accept it. He'd probably run away if confronted by a human. I hope Rattman's alright, wherever he is.
It'd be cool if he had a game, or at least if he appeared again.

I don't think that's even possible O__o
First- in the Lab rat comic, he never had a wife nor children. He just had a mental ilness. And he was quite young on top of that, maybe in his early 30ties or late 20ties?*hard to say*
Second- Who the hell would put their daughter as a test subject???
Third- Chell would suffer schizohrenia too, if he'd be her father.
Fourth- I bet he'd speak about her as his daughter in the comic, if he'd truly be her father. Not addresing her as "her".
Idk, way too many contras for me at least

Yeah, but it's a nice image. Besides, she might not be schizo also. And he might not have had a guardian for her to go to, so Aperture 'kindly' took custody of her.

Chells definitely isn't a schizo So...noway she'd inherit his genes.
The idea of him ebing her guardian is nice, but I still think that he's being just a bit older than her. Even the cores called Chell a lady, I may think she's not 16, as many fans would like her to be or tend to imagine her (?). Also, I bet the creators would surely make at least a small hint in the comic on this important stuff. Which they didn't.
But it is really possible that she's an orphan, or who knows... Aperture gladly took them in, together with hobos, mentally ill people and old people... D:

YES! I think I would've really get lost if it weren't for those.
And after some hours spent on the net X'D Researching.... I found a post on Steam forums.
Especially one post where there's a screencap of the facility in Portal 1 and afterwards the same spot in Portal 2. The room with GLaDOS and her incinerator. In P1 the room's blank. In P2 there are additional scribbles on the wall showing which way the portal gun can be found - which means (if it isn't just the developer's glitch) that Rattman had to wake up before Chell in Portal 2 and place the portal gun so she'd find it Which must mean he's truly still alive somewhere...who knows where... I really hope we get to see that.

ohh, i love that room! it's like some sort of sacred ground, with the portal gun as, like, the Ark of the Covenant or something. All of his drawings, telling the history of Aperture, you, GLaDOS, Ratman...everything! And that ramp with the light shining down...oh, it's just magical...

...SOMEbody should draw that...

You wrote it so nicely ;w; Yes, it's one of the most charismatoc places of the game, in my opinion, too. You know, now I am really tempted to try and draw it...but I am a total failure at architecture X'D ... who knows what comes out after I grabed it in my hands...duh XD

Oh, I see O.O I knew about the contest when it was over as well But it didn't stop me from trying to make a vid for the marvelous song. Their entry looked really great but judging from what Valve (or rather, the band) picked as the winner.... D: Idk.... I kind of really feel bad that the sock puppet won first place. I'd put it on the third because the idea is great...but the amount of work spent on that isn't comparable to the other masterworks. Really. Btw - the site you showed me - it looks like they are going to make an actual game out of it...
