When I saw this in first time, I had a strong but quiet feeling. I also felt a little melancholy sense. Was this because the bitterness of growing up? When I see the dark and threatening sky, I felt more depressed. Even the taste of strawberry is sweet, it will become bitter when the heart or the soul is in the sorrow. The bright character in the gloomy background means the girl has a soft heart within her hard shell.

And the barbed wire also emblem the painful hindering or closed heart. You can see the wild of the wire, but you cannot reach the other side. "Strawberries in a pot" is insinuating the girl in a cage. In the breakage part of the wire can see a goose swim to the end of the river. The goose means the aspiration to find the distant freedom. And the girl without a skirt means the aspiration to live without any restraints.

The backstory of the girl is very interesting, and the picture expressed it in perfection.
This is a drawing made in the mature technique and the diligent mind.
This is the fantastic artwork.

I suppose it's a stylistic thing, but those eyes are exceptionally wide apart and small for her overall head shape and size.

It feels like there's so much empty space between her eyes and her cheeks, not to mention other landmarks, like the lips. 

The details and textures are great, it just seems strange to have such small eyes.
