We just both have great taste! Can't help it, tis a fact of life. Don't think we get Top Gear in the states, I've heard of it but never seen it. I watch Mythbusters when it's on, but don't go out of my way, so wouldn't consider myself a die-hard.
Read the book, attention span or not. The Book is about 800 times funnier than the movie. Or, if you can stand the 1980sy special effects, get the TV show.

Yay! :3 you must be like my long-lost brother, or a clone that was exposed to too much testosterone or something like that.
Ah, in that case, don't watch it. The top gear boys say that americans can't build a decent car. And i think they're completely true. X3
Yeah, it's rarely on over here, and i'm not really a die-hard but it is turning science funny.
Bawww, i like the 1980sy special effects, i'm nostalgic, remember? except star wars, that's like, really really bad. X3 good story, bad effects.

I very well could be, how old are you? The Top Gear boys, were they reffering to modern american cars, or cars in general? I don't know about lately, I'm not much of a car guy, but I'm pretty sure we're awesome at cars : ) Good ol' nationalism!
Actually, Star Wars had some of the best 1980'sy effects, it was very much lauded for bringing special effects up, George Lucas founded one of the very first specific special effects companies. The 80's in general were just a poor time for special effects, computers make all that stuff look smoother. Watch the HHG TV show, see what you think!

You're my female clone from the future, sent back in time to destroy us all twice. How does that sound?
My dad used to collect classic cars, they were all cheap and crappy, but he had 4 or 5 Chevilles from the 60's, and I remember they were really cool. I always like cars from the 50's that have giant fins, because their design is really awesome. However, I can't fix a flat tire (and am glad I haven't had to yet) - tyre in your native tongue : )
I loved Star Wars when I was little, (still too, but other things have claimed my heart since) I have every boba fett toy, and most lightsaber colors.
Yes, you will have to.

I like it! well deducted! :3
wow, collecting cars! ^W^' i can't wait til i'm old enough to drive! but i gots to be 17 for my provisional. What's the age in america? if it's 16, i'm going to live in you house or be a bum in your garden. XD I like retro cars like citron 2cvs, and the old minis! i could never know how to change a tyre, i can change the spark plugs though, because my fingers are slim enough. My dad depends on my girly hands when we're tinkering on the car, but i don't mind to get my hands dirty and oily, i love that stuff. *Tomboy chelcat is tomboyish*
yeah, i get obsessions come and go. but the ones i have at the moment i never want to go! ^W^'

I'm wearing my sherlock holmes hat is why.
Driving is very much fun. You can get your learners permit at 16 in the states, my sister is 17, and now driving the good car all over the place, and I'm stuck with the crappy one. Changing a tire isn't that hard, you just need to know how, and have the right equipment. It's good to know that sort of things. Good, you can always wash your hands if you need to.
I've retained all my obsessions, but the just diminish as new ones come up. I suppose my amount of obsession power just gets spread across more and more things.

thank you! Suggestion: Noted. Do you mean Hitchhikers Guide themed stuff, or just the blue outlineyness in general? I definately like to give my fans what they want (except any of my vital organs, obviously. That goes without saying so forget I said it. FORGET!)

Zaphod is tricky to draw! Depends on what mood you want him to be in, he has so many. I always liked his 2nd head being off center, since he had it created and grafted on, and why not use it as an opportunity to become taller and more impressive while he's at it?
I love the expression on the cup of tea best.

A very Zaphod thing! [the more impressive and talle head thing xD] It's a good solution, better than in the tv series where the second head only hang there like a dead weight and than the movie... meh, no comments xD

Yep, the TV series head was cutting edge and very expensive, but still rather crunchy. The Movie didn't make any sense really, it would have been just as well with out the 2nd head at all, but then he wouldn't be zaphod, now would he? I do like most all of the actors and art design in the movie, THEY were well handled. Just script problems, they stuck in a plot and cut all the jokes. That's not what HHG is all about!

aw, thank you! I don't know if these are how I envisioned them in my head to start with, but it is now! On my douglas adams forum, I've gotten alot more requests, so I'm going to be doing more spare time pending -- any favorite scene you'd like to see illustrated?

It's not really how I pictured them either, but the designs are very appropriate and quite adorable.
The whole book is my favorite scene, so anything you draw is sure to please.

I forgot the petunias! How silly of me. If only we knew why they thought 'Oh no, not again' as they fell, we'd know alot more about the nature of the universe than we do now.

It's because Dent keeps on killing him, remember, the revenge body. The petunias turned out to be his spirit, stolen away from the either world and brought to life for a minute because of improbability instability.

oh yes, I remember. I've read the whole thing several times. I just like that petunia explanation in the first book, it's one of my favorite lines ever, besides 'the ships hung in the air much in the same way that bricks don't'
That Arthur, he's so unintentionally evil.

Ah well, I like Dent, can't say that I don't. But if I was to choose I'd say I liked his girlfriend the most (no not Trilian, the other one)
Shame about the last book, but that's what you get when fans pressure you to write something you really don't want to write.
I liked the way they fixed it in the Radio re-adaptation a few years back, instead of ending in that rather dark and cruel way, the end up at miliways.

Dent's a fine guy, wouldn't be my best friend, too whiney, but still. I think my favorite character has always been Zaphod. Are you thinking of Fenchurch?
He was working on a 6th actually, Salmon of Doubt was supposed to be a Hitchhiker Novel, a more upbeat one. I think he never had an ending point in mind, was never trying to wrap the series up. It just did naturally because his death got in the way.
I haven't listened to all the Radio Adapts yet, been meaning too. I like Dirk Maggs. He's doing Dirk Gently now, which is my favorite for some reason.

All right. Now THIS is a book that I know and love. I recognized the theme here before even reading the description. My favorite characters are Agrajag and also Arthur's cup of tea.
Marvin looks very marviny with the bow tie.

yay! Thank you! I was specifically reccommended to read Terry Pratchett books because the person recommending them at me knew I was a fan of Douglas Adams, so that works out rather well. This drawing is of Argajag before he gets all angsty and murderous. Arthur's cup of tea is a character in it's own right, I think.
Thanks for saying Marvin looks Marviny! Robots should wear bowties in my book, and they do when I write it.
