Funny, when I saw this, for some reason I expected Kieri to hit the bullseye in the next comic...

Well, the stall owner's knowledge of the fairy kiss sure adds some fuel to the Melli fire. That actually made me think of something: Does anyone else think that Melli could help Buwaro with his fire magic? I mean, in the sense that she might, not can.

So is the Soprano of Time referencing Twilight Princess or something else?

Buwaro needs a hug in Panel 2, he looks like he was remembering what happened to Sakido ^^*Β Β  Buwaro deserves a chance to go Inigo Montoya on that hell angel X3

I like. But it seems Buwaro would have a bit of trouble beating me (even though I myself am a pretty bad shot. At least I look pretty arching... sphotos-b-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hph… )

or Buwaro could use a release. that probably wasn't invented in that time frame though...

I imagine that two little leather pad with some leather straps could be worn on Buwaro's claws so he wouldn't snap the bowstring again.

there is only one game that i have any accuracy and presicion with a bow. it is LoZ Majora's Mask. i am talking free aim of course. i can pass both archery mini-games with ease. i have severe difficulty doing so in Ocarina of Time. i find it ironic cause its easier to aim in Windwaker but i can't shoot worth a damn. i have no aim whatsoever in Twilight Princess.

If Kieri is able to shoot a bullseye with a bow, on top of being able to wield a sword and magic and still fail Warrior Training class, then man angels have high standards.

I feel like it's a manner of motivation. She wants to impress buwaro wheras in heaven, those people shouted at her and possibly punnished her, making her aim more shakey. Situationally one can be better than one is in a class because it's more instinct based and your likely to be around ones you'd want to protect / impress.

Maybe angels are based on stereotypical Asians? Or there was one specific test required that she didn't pass?

From what we've seen so far, it looks like angels are based off of stereotypical Asians - probably due to Chu's experiences in Japan. Kieri, for example, is meek and easily embarrassed, kinda like an Asian schoolgirl. She is also extremely proficient in magic and swordplay, like how the stereotypical Asian does well in school and is skilled with (at least) one instrument. Finally, Kieri also has a "tiger" mom, who pushes Kieri hard, criticizes her, and even abuses her for her failures.

tl;dr Just look at the name. Doesn't Kieri Suizahn sound Asian?

Yeeep, that's what I thought. (I try not to focus on stereotypes, though )

It looks more like a misspelled version of Kairi Susan to me, but I'm weird like that XD

and she wear an uniform like schoolgirl

Also if I remember well Suizahn is japanese, but I don't remember what it mean, Chu explained it once
