Surprise! Yes, a new Slightly Damned page in the middle of the week. Why's that, you ask? Well, because these pages are boring, yet necessary. I feel bad having you guys wait a whole week just to get more boring talking. Yes, I do plan to update again on Saturday.As for this page specifically... well, the art's kind of all over the place. Story-wise, the Fairy sisters have had names in my head for a really long time. I just didn't make a good opportunity to have them be revealed. And here we are, months after these characters have been introduced, and they FINALLY have their names. The older Fairy, the green one, is named Willow. The blue one is Eve.
Lastly, I don't want to hear anyone whining about what a bully Cliff is for not wanting to leave his house with Buwaro. I mean, Buwaro means well, but... he's Buwaro. Would YOU trust him with all your valuables? If so, then you deserve to have them turned into a pile of ash.

I wish you would quit dissing your art. If you think that it's bad, you need to go looking around DA at some of the shit people put on a canvas and called art. You are an incredible artist. And you need to realize that.

While I agree that raizy should not diss her own art too much, and it bothers me when good artists can only say bad things about their own work, I don't think she went too far here. What makes the good artists good is that they see all the flaws in their own work. They need to acknowledge when they do a good job, but also where improvement is needed. Plus, raizy has the clearest view of any shortcomings, because she can compare what she has in her head with what ends up on the page.
When I draw, I personally strive to do better than my last drawing in order to improve. It doesn't really matter what anyone else is doing. It's a competition with myself, not with other artists.

Noble. I agree with you that artists should be open minded enough to see their own shortcomings, but never really go looking for them. If you find them, then improve upon them, but if you don't, don't actively look to find some small point that you messed up on. It's senseless. It will only decrease the quality of one's work. Besides, nitpicking is what critiques are around for. If the artists do all the nitpicking for them, we get put out of a job. And if the critiques are telling you to quit blasting yourself, you probably do it too much.

On the contrary, being able to see my own triumphs as well as my own shortcomings helps my art get better, because I can acknowledge my improvement and also see what I need to focus more on next time. If I saw everything I make as an utter masterpiece with nothing to improve upon, I would be sure to stagnate. Though, yes, if I saw everything as a utter failure, I would be sure to give up. I think it is best to look for both.
I can't rely on other people to point out the flaws, especially on deviantArt. But even with self-nit-picking turned up really high, I am not going to be able to see everything. Critiques are still extremely welcome. I am still blind to plenty of my own mistakes. In fact, I am sure my most egregious mistakes are the ones I am blind to.

I feel bad for Buwaro but think about poor cute little Kieri over there. I mean, she was just starting to get really attached to buwaro and was starting to see that there really are good demons out there. that could have changed the entire course of the future between demons and angels because of that one little connection.

Technically it's not really filler because it does establish a few things that move along the story. It's just not very exciting.
