Simple, modern, it gives you the idea of a "soldier", can be a credible redesign of Captain America's outfit. Well done indeed.

As one artistic (former) sailor to another, I can award you at least 10 attaboys for this. I used to do a lot of illustrations for our ship's newsletter. I was stationed aboard the USS Ranger, CV-61. She's gone the way of all conventionally-powered carriers. I've still got a number of my drawings that were rejected as being too racy. Especially one I did for VF-2, an F-14 Tomcat squadron. Huh? Too racy for sailors? You've got to be kidding! (This was in the era before we had to bend to the wiles of females in the Navy.)
But coming from the era of dungarees, I just can't understand the Navy's desire for a camouflage uniform. What are we going to blend into the bulkheads? If we have to go overboard, are we going to hide in the water? And what's with the undress uniform? It makes sailors look as if they didn't have enough uniforms to go around and they had to raid the marine stores. But I do like the 'friendly' dress whites with the blue piping on white. (But I imagine they're still 100% polyester and still hotter than hell.)

Very nice! Β Love the military stylings incorporated in the costume! Β Am curious is the red/white striped torso part is covering the NWU (hard time believing Cap would wear a NWU cut-off), b/c the white elbow part looks like it goes under the NWU. Β Just wondering. Β Great job!

Unfortunately not. But if you want, send me an email at chrischo53085@gmail.com if you want a set. Just let me know your size (hat as in 7 1/4, shirt size, and pant size (in small-large) and I can get it for you. No name tapes or US NAVY tapes though (so you don't get in trouble), but I can get you ranks. However, if you're close to an alteration store, you can have them take a few inches from the pants to have them create you your own name and affiliation tape (I'm making one that says S.H.I.E.L.D.)

Right now, I believe that if you got everything together it would cost about $75. I think the shirt costs about 30 and so does the pants

Thank you so much! I guess this can also be considered a tribute piece to the military also. The first thing I thought when these uniforms came out was "I HAVE TO USE THIS TO MAKE A COSTUME!!"
And it shall be so... a SDCC

Well if it's NWU's you should give him a full bird instead of railroad tracks. ARMY RANKS BE DAMNED!!! haha. But yeah I really liked the NWU's when I was in.

Yeah my favorite Cap designs are the ones where they incorporate traditional military uniforms into his costume. Love it!
