Day 6: "Did I wiiiiin?"

The problem with Princess Peach is -and there's not delicate way to put this- she's only ever had one purpose in life: Be kidnapped by King Koopa and rescued by the Mario Brothers.

Now, I don't believe this was done with any form of malice or sexism. Considering Nintendo doesn't even know what a 'bounty hunter' is, I'm willing to bet they've never even heard of sexism either. To give credit where it's due, they've made an effort to include Peach into the main roster of their new Mario titles; starting with Super Mario 3D World. Granted between that and the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Wonder, it's still only two mainline games (spin-offs don't count) where she's doing something, but the effort is still recognised.

If it helps, she's also had a few instances outside of Mario that involve her as a main character. Infact, we're getting a costume drama with her in the near future that I'm keeping an eye on out of basic curiosity to see where Nintendo's going with this.

Charlotte finally is given the authority she thinks she deserves by becoming Princess Toadstool... Or is it Peach?
