Description
Ange, a character from the Shrugged title from Aspen Comics. I posted the Aspen Matthews one, but for some reason forgot to post this one, even though it was done at the same time.I hope you enjoy, maybe it'll bring some summertime warmth to those experiencing cold weather, Ha!

Spotting tangents is good practice. Β Too bad it's so much easier to spot them in someone else's work! Β Lol. Β Still - by doing that I get better at spotting them in my own.
Glad you take it the right way.
A good test to perform while working or after you've finished is to turn the piece upside down and look at it through squinted eyes. Β This way you see mainly the value patterns. Β It's one way to spot tangents made by dark/bold lines. Β Another test is the postage stamp test - just reduce the picture to about 1x1 or 1x2 inches (the size of a postage stamp). Β

Besides the concept of being warm right now (I hate this cold weather!) I really love your boat work. The prespective and details are wonderful. The horizon line with the small touch of butterflies (?) is a terrific accent.
