Just trying a different style on Claudia. A faster, simpler way to draw her, might be useful for me in case I decide draw some comic strips about her (damn, I really should some day..).I hate the word Chibi, but this is kinda what it is. Is there a more proper word for this?
note. After reading your comments, my intention wasn't really get a Chibi style, just bigger head with simple expressions and smaller body for faster simpler drawings, just didn't know what to call it. Kinda cartoon-ish. I'll leave it as "simplified" .

I think chibi means midget, and the alternate version is not what I would think of as stereotypically anime. I would just call it a different take on the same character.

When I think of Chibi I usually think of the heads being over-sized enough to stick out past the shoulders.. Like, the body would have looked normal but then...
There's something simpler about the new Claudia, but its probably some stylistic variant that I don't know the proper name to.
I'd just call it "rasbu" style; a shorter, cuter version of your name for a shorter, cuter version of your characters. Plus I think that'd make Β mean hashtag

My Japanese is a bit rusty, but here I go with a bit help from a general Japanese online dictionary.

I found chibi is a slang word and means small child, short person, midget, dwarf, miniature, small animal and for some reason worn out pencil.
Maybe because when the pencil is worn out it is much smaller than when it's new.
Anyways as you know it is also commonly used with Japanese manga, anime, comics and cartoon for a young cute character usually with a big head and/or big eyes.
Yeah, she could pass as very cute but i don't think she pass as small, miniature or dwarf.
I tried to find a suiting slang/word but came up with two words boinboin akage, which means huge breasted redhead.
Correct me if I got it wrong as I mentioned my Japanese ain't good.
Other than that she ain't bad with the "comic eyes". Β
