Description So, funny story -- for all my skill with leather, I am hopelessly, hilariously inept at sewing, and thus the hardest part of this whole piece wound up being the two parallel(ish) seams in the straps. Friends, that was the work of hours.

(Almost made me wish I'd gone with Plan A, which was just to throw the shiny bits at people and be like, YOU FIGURE OUT THE REST. Ultimately it seemed more customer-friendly to sell something they could wear right out of the box though.)

This particular piece is going to a friend of a friend of a friend (or something like that) and will be worn at Anime Boston later this month, but you can buy your own at my shop: [link]

These are amazing. How did you make them? I'm going to the preview of the new movie, and I am dying to learn how.

Thank you! I kept forgetting the last step, which was to put that pebbled, weathered-looking texture on it, so I'd be looking at each new piece and going, "What's missing, there's something missing from this picture... O_o OH RIGHT!" And then I'd go hit it a lot with a rock -- the fine and subtle art of leatherworking, right there.

You're very welcome, that's interesting to know how you achieve a weathered look.
