Description Confused? It's simple! Lilith created a potion that was designed to magically expel any alcohol and it's effect from the body. What she inadvertently also created was a "All Knowing" potion. Meaning completely understanding the secretes of life, the universe and everything.

See the potion was designed for intoxicated people. But for a sober one it took the mind beoynd sobriety and to a place where no mind should go, be it elf or human. This isn't even extreme sobriety, but extreme clarity which is much worse. Even gods don't go there. When Lilith realized what had happen, she utterly destroyed the potion. She recognized the most dangerous weapon in the world when she saw it.

Elidin recovered fully. Admittedly with an impressive hangover and then some lengthy therapy and memory wipes

Don't know of you read Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett but this happened to one character, Captain Vimes of the Ank morpork City watch, there's a blend of coffee that no matter how wasted or how long you've been drunk it will sober you up. Problem is you've got to get it just right, too much or you're "seeing the other side of the red dessert" as Mr Pratchett put.
