thank you! ive thought of reworking the b&w, now that i have learned of better techniques. but its an (older) photo, and my mind is on the future.. so here it shall sit (for now.)

Great choice of angle. Almost M C Escher like in appearance

Hehe, I thought the same thing.. it feels like an Escher drawing at first glance, but then when you analyse it further you realise that the geometry does all make sense and it's not an optical illusion at all.

thanks! as i just told someone else, it wasnt an easy angle to get.
the escher reference is awesome, thanks a lot. some of his work is pretty amazing, and i dont think this is anything close - but i understand what you mean with the slightly 'which direction is which' theme going on in this photo.

No, it looked pretty difficult. I can see how you've lined things up. I like the square aspects in this shot. The larger expanses of square on the stairwell and the square pattern

That's one tricky perspective. The thumbnail was so lala, but it's really good captured.

ratiocinative In reply to sputnikpixel [2005-10-15 17:41:52 +0000 UTC]

is lala good or bad? haha

i think you mean the thumbnail doesnt look great, but when you view it full it looks good. if thats so, i agree

thanks for the comment

Great shot Black and white leaves a strong impression on you, though I keep wondering what's under the stairs, for some reason.

well i hope you enjoy your stay, and dont fall down the stairs. i would tell you whats down there, but what would be the fun in that!
its much stronger in b&w than in color.
thanks for your comment.
