Deep inside the Vault, Sunset and Pinkie found a Chaos Emerald."And that makes six," Sunset said as she picked up the gem. "Either we got them all now or there's more."
"One more," Pinkie replied.
"How..."
"Because they are the same Chaos Emeralds from Sonic the Hedgehog. There used to be only six but they bumped it up to seven in later games."
"Huh..."
As they were making their way out, they ran into zombie like creatures that quite frankly scared the crap out of Sunset. They were Flood Combat Forms. Or at least they looked like them. Snapping her rifle to her shoulder, Sunset fired a quick burst into the uncomming creatures. Pinkie brought her weapon up and... sure enough... it was a laser shotgun.
As the pair fought their way back to the exit, Sunset couldn't help but wonder why they kept finding themselves in such dangerous situations.
They were about to get overrun when suddenly... Pinkie unleashed a flamethrower... wait... WHERE DID SHE GET A FLAMETHROWER?
"Meet my Backburner!" Pinkie exclaimed.
"Not gonna ask..."

Quite liking the story - at least as I understand it. Every update prompts me to go back and look at previous installations, but that's part of the fun. Cool to see them exploring a Vault - or just... doing whatever adventures they seem to get up to here. I imagine Sunset is starting to learn very quickly that no one should ever question a member of the Pie family.

Glad you're enjoying it. I still got a backlog of screenshots I've taken and I keep adding to it, especially if I find a good map or more models, like the recent release of the Dazzlings from EG2. Kinda hoping for that Super form Sunset from EG3 at some point. I'd actually redo a screenshot for that.

Dazzlings took too long. Actually, I'm just upset that Aria came last. Aria fans are always sad because of things like that.
I'd be interested in seeing how it develops. Now that I've got some time to myself, I think I'll go back and check out the rest of the story from the beginning.
