They're really distorted and all in the negative space in profile. You don't *need* to see them. I just do.

Not really. I think how the viewer sees an artwork is more important unless the artist is only making the art for themselves.

I think...actually, I think you're right. The artist's view matters in the creation process, and once it's published, the audience counts. And if the artist is making the work for some sentimentality, then they are the audience and their view still matters.
