Description
First completed bookmark - FireFire is represented with a drake and a gold orb. Background is watercolor while the drake is color pencil with acrylic white highlights. Signature and watermark are digitally added. Real bookmarks contain no watermark and are signed on the back.

I love the colors! Kudos for using mixed media.
If I may suggest a colored pencil tip for the future: If you don't like the grainy texture seen in the red on the dragon, you can take white (or any color for that matter) and blend it together making it really smooth and shiny. Don't be afraid to layer on colored pencil :3

The graininess isn't such an eye sore in real life. My scanner scans at 600 DPI, so it scans every little detail. I actually have blending sticks that I use quite frequently for many of my other traditional pieces, I just opted to use them on this since it is such a small drawing in real life. I'm afraid it'd take away some of the details.

Beautiful work! It's hard to achieve smoothness/softness with colored pencils.
