Description "You who have marched through countless foes, each mightier than the last... You, who now gaze through the future with a vision unclouded... Surely you can restore Hyrule to its stature of yore as the chosen land of the gods.

Go and do not falter my child!"

This was left over from last year. Haven't worked on this until recently, but it's finally finished. Sorry to those who faved, but you'll just have to fave it again.

Probably one of my favorite scenes from Twilight Princess.

Enjoy
I have no idea how long this took.

The hero spirit is left handed because he is actually Link from Ocarina of Time/Majoras Mask after he was sent back in time to his childhood and filled with regrets from being unable to pass on the "lessons of his life to those who came after him".

Nicely done! Love the shade soldier's stance. Link looks so determined too.

The thing that makes this so weird, is that the Hero's spirit is actually link from ocarina of time and majora's mask O_O

Yeah It makes me want to cry.why?
Because It saddens me to see OOT Link in such a state and that being obviously his last appearance... I nearly cried when I found out, poor link ;_;.

I think it's fun that the last hero will teach his skills to the next one before moving on

Not to be a kill joy or anything, but I read on the wiki that he felt remorse for not passing on his techniques and was kept in between life and death until someone with the Hero's soul came along. That's his reason behind it anyway.

If the Hero's Shade is OoT Link, shouldn't he be left-handed too? I never noticed if he were or not when I played the game though ...

Cizion In reply to HikariMichi [2013-08-02 07:31:10 +0000 UTC]

The author simply drew him right handed I think I have only seen him right handed once and that was in OOT master quest... Im not sure if he is right handed in any others...

Sorry, bud. Although I always thought Skyward's Link was a better fit, the Hero's Shade is indeed the Hero of Time. With this, it has also been confirmed the TP Link is a descendant of his.
So he's not really his dad, more like a grandfather. So there is a blood connection there.

Great art, by the way.

Dude I posted that a while ago and I know that it's the Hero of Time that is the golden wolf. Not SS Link.

crazyforchocobos In reply to Dorseykid72 [2012-01-27 05:56:46 +0000 UTC]

YES! I thought it was something like "the previous hero" or something. I guess it wouldn't be too outlandish to say TP Link also has some relation to SS Link too. though i think in some fanfics the Hero's Shade is Link's father.

"I can't belive it's over...it's really over...all these years wasted by keeping my knowledge for myself...no...this cannot end like that...i MUST teach my techniques to the next generation...then, and only then, i will be able to rest in peace."

Hehe, actually, i belive the Hero's Spirit is Link from Ocarina of time, i do know you belive the opposide, but take these things into account, from the less important to the most:
-The Hero's Movements, while Z-Targeting, are very similar to Ocarina of Time Link's.
-At one point, he says "These techniques never leave OUR bloodline."
-At the end, he says the quote you have on the description, which he ends by "my child", i understand tutors and old people generally do that, but think about it.

Really cool scene. This is definitely one of my favorite sidequests in Twilight Princess: facing off against a ghostly swordsman from the past and learning awesome moves from him. Some suspect that he's the original Hero of Time... I dunno.

You depicted the scene very well in this picture, and the coloring is awesome. I really like how you drew the ghostly swordsman.
