I really ought to stop blathering about this image β you'll think I'm a psychotic stalker or something β but you just captured so much lifeΒ in his face, in that infinitesimal pause between awareness and response. He hasn't had the chance yet to school his face back into its usual stern lines. Just beautiful. I can tell you spend a lot of time watching people's expressions, since you capture them so marvelously. Wow. Wish I had your talent.

Why, thank you! <3 Β And I agree with you totally: he IS a beautiful and fierce creature, much deserving of admiration. But what I was really gushing about is just how much life and soul you have imbued him with β Gods, your use of light thrills and delights me, the way the Impressionists always have!
Words have always been my artistic medium of choice... possibly because I have always striven so ferociously to be understood. Speaking of which, I finally got tired of my "deviations" section staring blankly at me, so I submitted a piece from a few years back. It's short.
Interestingly, while I am a published poet and jewelry artist, in RL I'm also a scientist: I'm a veterinary pathologist, and an aficionado of all the sciences. I think life requires balance, to be fully lived. I'm certainly happier that way. (Although I admit I'm not much of a researcher. Only one paper to my credit, and it was a pain in the ass.)
And physics and astronomy have been long-time loves of mine. I liked the article you posted on Tumblr. But I digress. ;D
