Description I hope you can tell who this is. Think I'm getting my grayscale/coloring/painting workflow; don't need to blend so well in grayscale when I'm gonna paint over it. I need to practice more though. Anyway, hope you like it. Grayscale WiP is here . Thanks for viewing.

Done with Photoshop CS5 and WACOM Intuos 4.

Thanks.

My mistake was choosing a ref photo that was already very airbrushed so I can't be sure if I can finally do photo-realistic paintings. My next one will be better, I promise.

Wow! Gorgeous digital portrait. I love all the detail you drew into her, the shading, blending, the texture of her hair, and those eyes...fantastic. Amazing work of art. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks. I really like the results of including grayscale in my work process so far. Allows me to put in details from the start.

She's more recognizable in this than I find she is in the reference photo you had. I say this because I believe the photo was edited faaaar too much.

Angelina looks great in your style and you have her pretty darn life like.

Yeah, that ref photo was very airbrushed. Practically no character. I had to study other photos of her to help me flesh her out -- those taken out in public cos there's little editing there.

Thanks, dear. Next time I do a portrait of someone famous, I'll choose an unflattering-ish photo as ref.

Thanks. It's not as well-blended as I thought, though. Aargh, I just can't get the technique right.

You'll get it. There's noticeable improvement just in the little bit you've done this way.
