This type was specially designed for the Melders, genetically-engineered soldiers who fought the Third World War circa 2050s. Made of Araneic Polymer, a biometalic compound derived and synthesized from the threads of a bio-engineered spider, Araneius Metallica. Lightweight, durable, and able to resist high caliber gun ammo, yet susceptible to strong lasers and some close range melee weapons.Also has the capability to heal wounds inflicted upon the wearer ("Smart Suit") via the use of Nanodendritic Cells

The only thing that's restricting the real world from developing such a thing is that it takes a revolutionary material of both flexibility and durability as well as it needs to be lightweight. So far, carbon fiber has it, but still lacks a few other properties needed to create such an armor of that calibre. Also, the cost for such research could literally blast a hole through a titanium alloy vault full of cash. If there ever is such a thing made or being researched, that information would be classified. Another thing... The thing has to be like a second skin or it would just be purely armor and not a combat suit. It'll only serve as protection, and it could even decrease battle effectiveness since it can restrict movement. But something might come out though. Armies around the world do have a knack of making killing toys just for the hell of it...
