Description Best full viewed. I didn't make any adjustments on Photoshop here, 'cept for tiling the piece since it was damn large, and the black border. I liked how the colors came out anyway.

I was bored. So, I dunked this (check out the original pencil sketch and details at [link] ) in a pail of water, layed it out on wooden board, papertape-d it down, and waited for it to dry a bit before laying out a first uneven wash of a green+brown mixture (I dunno those fancy color names), then painted in succeeding layers of pigment, wet on dry.

Made a mistake regarding the highlights... I wasn't able to lay the masking fluid properly.

I was planning to paint the side sketches as elaborate as the first one, but I decided not to overdo it... going for a somewhat minimalistic approach. There are times, an unfinished piece looks more interesting. This kind of coloring also subordinates the side sketches to the main one.

I like it. From an armor standpoint it's fesable, but that's not to say it could take a strait shot, the sides lack anything. But it looks good nonetheless I figured just the visor would flip up, but you have the whole head-helmet assembly flipping back. That's interesting. The overlapping armor plating makes it look quite insectile-like, I love that!
Looks good overall!

This work gave me an impression that i appreciated from films.
I remembered how you sy that you draw messy...
but for me, it shows some kind of detail that you could not get rid of
just like in a photograph or from a clip in a movie...

there's always that distraction created in the artwork that can be interpreted in many ways...
