Assignment for last semester. We had to do an album cover and I chose Beirut’s “The Riptide”. Basically just an excuse to draw a mermaid. And tidal pools, man. Tidal pools are sweet.Related content

This is incredible! I can't even tell what I like best. Her expression is what got me first, I love it! Grumpy mermaids are the best. But that ROCK is friggin amazing!! Love how you've got the water-line breaking it up, too. The colors are really really nice. Just amazing!!

What's great about watercolors is that you don't really know what you'll get. The paint kind of has a mind of its own sometimes. It's just fun to experiment, I guess. :3
