Natsuki is an imperial, indeed! She's an Emerald Magistrate from Miya clan. Good guess with the centered position, she's the leader! Good thinking with Furugi also, he was born near Tsuma which is in Crane's territory, and did I show hate for cranes? Oh no, that's definitely not the case! Yasuragi is a crane.

Love all of the concepts. Each are individualized by not only their stature and attire but facial anatomy as well. Even more so, their facial expression gives a good hint to their typical persona/mentality which further enhances the unique individuality and story of each character. Also, I love how you further characterize them with subtle differences in the tsuba of their katana. In short, a perfect example of an artist bringing their unique concept to life.Β

These characters are awesome - I'm so intrigued to know their back stories and how they interact with each other! Their designs are really lovely, and work well together (while still remaining different and showing each individual's personality). Are these just your OCs or are they characters in a project you and your friends are working on?

Oooh, that sounds really exciting, I think I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for that because I'd love to learn more about these characters, haha C: I think that sounds like a really great idea - RPGs tend to be where I get the best story lines going, so using those kind of stories in a comic would probably work really well!

I am aware how these swords look like and I drew all katana and/or wakizashi curved, but if it's not visible enough I'll think about bending them more next time

I dunno. I know katanas are mostly curved in real life, but I kinda like straight blade katanas actually! Very very cool piece!

Actually there's a popularised straight version which is called Ninjato. It was mostly used by assassins, and while it's mostly believed that it has no real japanese origin it does appear in many ninja films and other types of media.

I think there is a curve. Its just kind of hard to see. Katanas have a slight curve ,but i think animators exaggarate it a little.
