Description Yet another concept...
I was trawling the internet for a simple writing program (for android, though) but couldn't find a good one. Since I (yet) can't
program properly, I decided to make a concept.
écrire in French simply means "write", which is what this is about. Writing. The rest of the program is merely an instrument in
getting the writing done. If you don't need it, it neatly folds away, waiting for when it is required again.

Features breakdown:
The Interface:
Designed to be as minimal as possible, the interface comes in both dark and light colours. I've not really used a lot of colours,
instead opting for both muted green and lots of grey. This is so that the most important thing is the one which catches your
attention, the thing you're writing.

The top- and sidebar:
The topbar only has features you'll want to use while writing. Shapes, images and the like are stuffed in the Insert menu, in ca-
se you need them.
The research panel is to show the definitions and synonyms for a word, or a small reference (think encyclopaedic articles) for a
thing or place.
Styles are for, well, quickly applying styles. Set up once and you're done. No need of fumbling with the formatting toolbar (not
to mention the amount of time saved), and the pages widget[?] lists everything chapterwise, allowing easier navigation
and the automated creation of a contents page.

The text in the concept is from the book "Three Men in a Boat, To Say Nothing of the Dog" by Jerome K. Jerome, available on wiki-
source. A recommended, no, a must read (Thank me later )

Hey,

It's been a while, I remember seeing this a while back (in fact there's a pretty cringe-worthy comment down there by almost-a-year-younger-me). I had a similar idea a while ago and made a concept focused on being a minimal program that helped you through the whole writing process, from prewriting to revision to publishing, without getting in your way with unnecessary clutter and everything. Looking back, it's really similar to your concept (I even looked up notebook and journal in french to try to get inspiration for names ). Can you take a look and provide some feedback? wwsalmon.deviantart.com/art/Wi…

Thanks!

Sure can!
[Edit: I did, and it is downright amazing! Also, there's this thing about french: everyone wants to name stuff in it,it sounds fancy!]

"Three Men in a Boat", right?
However, the sidebar looks a little bit confusing. Too many tabs in one box

Yup, three men in a boat
And the sidebar might be a bit too cluttered but the intention was to give all necessary tools as close as possible. Ofc, if someone wants, they can remove that, or go into the minimal mode (shown at the last panel).
Actually, while writing a short, I felt a bit annoyed at how everytime I want to put a header, or change style, took me too much time and too many clicks. That's why I created this concept.(I hope to create apps, but let's not get ahead of ourselves )

Explained that way it seems a nice choice, I didn't understand when I wrote my comment, thanks for your reply. Anyway I agree, putting headers and changing style is difficult on all existing writing programs (except my program, that's cool, very cool, very very very.. ok I'm stopping that).
Regarding application creating, it's easy if you start studying Boole's math

Thanks !
I intend to learn it but am now stuck learning basic C++ stuff (The only language taught by my school. ). Let alone teach GUI stuff, some computers still have Borland's 3.0 compiler as the default IDE! (i use code::blocks )
And looking forward to using your program!

Good luck on studying!
And I'm looking forward to finish it!

Beautiful and functional and just . All the concepts that you create seem so real, almost too real to the point where I hate the whole rest of the tech world (including myself) for being an idiot. You put so much work into your concepts, and this is no exception.

EXCEPT THERE IS NO PRESET??? >

jk lol good work

Thank you!
Really flattered
And yup, after creating these concepts, really hard to go back to using the real programs. Hopefully, I'll be able to make them real someday

If you want to, you can! This concept is under CC-NC-BY-SA. So, feel free to create it!
(Just put in a link to this somewhere )
