Description
This painting has evolved, originally the face was much smaller.I decided to explore the process further and build a larger image (loosely based upon myself) taking over the original image. The work was painted in encaustic, building up a three dimensional linework, through a repeated process of painting, fusing the layers and scraping away.
I left traces of the original work in the journey to its finished state.

It just a little dab here an a dash there...part of my random thinking process as I paint.
The dimension is the result of building up individual lines....crosshatching and carving between the lies.
