Here is a coloured version of oliverarts01.deviantart.com/ar… , which I did earlier this year.I'm really glad with how the emotions look as well as the small details, particularly Joy's shine and Fear's sweater-hat thing.
However, I am not happy at all with the background and shading. It looks sloppy and half assed.
What do you think? Is it perfect as is? What could be improved? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!

Awesome drawing, everything's neatly in perspective and the emotions look great. I found Mario's fight with Bowser from the NES Super Mario Bros. in an Anger memory, A raccoon mario flying while grabbing coins from SMB3 in a Joy memory, i believe Mario in A painting from Luigi's Mansion in one of the Fear memories. I also believe the scene where F.L.U.D.D. "dies" in Mario Sunshine in a Sadness memory. i also see a NES in the background, and a mushroom shaped idea chamber, i believe Luigi being kissed by the Princess from All-Stars in a Disgust memory. The scene where Mario thanks Luigi in Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon in another Joy memory. The game over screen from 3D World in another Sadness memory, Mario grabbing the top of the Flagpole from 3D World in another Joy memory. i think mario stuck out of bounds from Mario 64 in a fear memory, and thats all i pointed out. your representation of Mario's emotions is very different from yours you know.

You've got it pretty much spot on, though you got one Sadness memory wrong and missed one Joy memory. Not to mention there's a little more to the SM64 Fear memory...

Oh, its mario being chased by the piano for the Fear memory. Mario saving the princess in another Joy memory. I think mario going on the gold train from mario 3d world. I still cant figure out the sadness memory on the lower left corner. I like the artwork too, you should check out my representation of mario's joy. I still need to work on the others.

My guess is maybe he's thinking of another version of the film in a different language?

It's more likely he's thinking of his version of Mario's emotions from Super Princess Peach. I knew nothing about what he made, yet he apparently expects me to know about it and base this Inside Out tribute I made last year solely on his idea that I only heard of a few weeks ago.

I did the same thing once, but with Calm instead of Disgust, there are more of them, and they all look the same other than the color.
