Description
My first real attempt at abstract art! It's an octopus (although most people I show it to don't really see it!
)I-a like-a my contrast, no? ...No? Okay, well... I at least tried!

If it's an abstract painting, you don't really have to recognise a subject. I like it, the way it's painted and the colours

I always find it easier (because abstract painting really doesn't come easily to me) to focus on a subject and build off of it, instead of just painting, so I generally try to come up with an idea for it and then paint around that, instead of just letting the painting come out by itself, ya know? I dunno, I just can't seem to make it look right if I start painting randomly!

love the contrast. I see what you mean about it being an octopus. At first I thought it was some weird spacey alternate dimension though! Also, I love the white design above the octo's head
