Description Ya i decided to start studying Environments since i like the look of it actually quite a lot.
But this one wasn´t actually the easiest study to begin with. It was a real pain in the ass but i´m very happy with the outcome.
Maybe i shouldn´t have used that much of a blurr but ya that´s why they are called studies to learn things from it.

Great work with the colors, details and lighting. The snow is really well done here.

Excellent work! I like the amount of details; I'm especially impressed by how neat the roofs, the vegetation and the bricks are. The snow is also very convincing. Overall, this artwork is very pleasant to the eye, well done!

I like how you kept the colours relatively muted; winter in China is a rather dull affair.  I wonder where this is at?

Yes but i like more desaturated and dark colors also fits the winter a lot better

Mmmhhhmmmm...

haha nah, I supposed you'll answer like that.  Because winter is indeed a good reason for such colors. And more saturation is my personal taste, so it's not neutral nor universal advice for "better art". And above it all, it's great work that way or another

As soon as I saw this, I was just astonished. //dies

Comparing it to the artworks you have in your gallery, I actually like your landscape(s) more, despite the fact that it seems you have more experience with drawing characters. Good job on that, though - painting landscapes isn't easy!

As you know, I don't have a lot of experience with landscapes myself (I've never actually finished a landscape because it takes so long - you must be really patient) but I think it looks gorgeous. The lightning is well "described" and matches the mood and the weather/season. Weirdly enough, the bricks look very satisfying. To me, a little part of the roof on the right of the painting looks just a little odd but despite that, you're all good!

The trees behind the houses also look somewhat lazily done and while that adds focus on the foreground, I don't think it looks quite right as the rest in the backgrounds looks more detailed [compared to the trees].

I like your painting method though, and the brushes you have used are absolutely gorgeous! You paint with a rather cartoon-ish style but still keep it realistic and I really like that. Keep up the good work! :>

Thanks a lot for the in depth comment
Yes the painting took me forever and for the trees the plan was to go with them simplefied and with a little blurr to get the focal on the buildings but it didnt really work out and i was too lazy to fix it afterwards

No problem! :>

And, I see. Well, I guess it kind of worked but at the same time not(?). Still, I really love it!
